- a little goes a long way
- no scent (and you know I am super sensitive to smells)
- generous amount in jar
- actually removes makeup
- Paraben free (good for all skin types)
I have no Cons.
How did I use it? First, I removed mascara and eyeliner with eye makeup remover/makeup wipes. Then I took about a dime size amount and rub it in my skin and wiped off with a warm wash cloth (turning over to get all off). No left over residue. I love it. I am gong to dry the balm by Dyptique and see how they compare. I received this product as a gift.

After eyeballing these storage cubes on Instagram for what seems like forever, I finally went ahead and ordered one. Receiving an Amazon Gift Card helped soften the blow a bit, too. I read many reviews from many different brand and I just knew I could find one for under $200. I refused to spend a lot of money on this. My patience paid off, this Beautify Extra Large Acrylic Cosmetic Makeup Cube was on Amazon on sale for $79. So. I threw my cares to the wind and bought it.
It came in a box, shrink wrapped, with styrofoam all around it, wrapped in bubble wrap, in another box. They definitely cared that I got it in perfect shape. Much appreciated. When I finally got that unpacked…it’s HUGE y’all. H U G E. One hinged top and 5 generous drawers. I was so excited; I set it up in my bathroom on my bookshelf. Then I got overwhelmed…true…I fell asleep looking at how others stuffed–I mean organized theirs. I tried mimicking some that I saw but I wasn’t happy. I hated my lipsticks in there and I realized I have to make it work for me and my needs. Then…I was able to organize. I purged too; tossed what I haven’t used or missed. Total Konmari, Marie Kondo would be proud.
Here she is…I left the top empty. I am virgoing. Virgo likes to plan ahead and I plan to save it for some reason (unknown by me right now). Second drawer: clean and brand new brushes. Third drawer: single pot and quad eyeshadows. Fourth drawer: Nude eyeshadow palettes. Fifth drawer: Fun eyeshadow palettes and eyeliners. Sixth drawer: bronzers, blushes, powders, primers, concealers and mascara. I absolutely love this thing. How do you organize your makeup?

Day 2…I’m rocking Anastasia Beverly Hills in Trust Issues lined with MAC’s Plum lip liner. Hate the name but loving this color on me. This shade works for all seasons. The formula dries to a matte without drying my lips. I must say it is messy coming out the tube–enough for me to notice.
Happy September! It’s no secret if you have been following me for a while, I love September. It’s my birth month and I am so excited for another year.
I’ve been wanting to do a month of lips and I decided to give it a go…starting today.Day 1 is a liquid lipstick named Bawse Lady from The Lip Bar. My girlfriend Njeri sent this beautiful red lippie to me. The Lip Bar first launched some years ago so the brand is not new to me and I love the brand. Vegan lippies with cute packaging and fun named shades. The rundown. Dries to an ultra matte without drying out my lips. It lasted longer than I wanted it to…LOL…I wiped it off so I can eat. Grateful to my GF for sending it to me and I would definitely recommend the brand. See you tomorrow…Posh
So, um…yeah I tried it and I am not going to buy the full size. My skin did not tingle ::no magic:: as it promises and I kept thinking of earth worms (if you have followed me long enough, you know this to be true). It is like legit mud, y’all; branches and thangs. It is not a bad cleanser but all the pieces of bark got in my way. The first time I tried it I was feeling cute and it was new but I can’t be bothered with all this nature on my face. The mask is okay.
Have you tried? I need to know your thoughts, please let me know.
I’m late I know but I’ve been busy. Playing in some makeup I’ve purchased and not yet tried. Here is MAC Halsey. No clue where I’d wear it but I’ll put it in the winter stash. I lined it with Vino and blennnnnnded. I think I like it.
Hi Beauties! It has been forever since I’ve been here. Micro blogging on Instagram has allowed me to slack but today I wanted to share my thoughts on Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kit in the shade Candy K. Okay, honestly…when it first launched I had no interest, the Kardashian/Jenner somebody is everywhere and on that particular day I was over it. Because I’m moody, the next day I decided I should try it (being the lip junkie that I am) and could.not.get.any. “Sold out.” That’s what I get, right?
Fast forward and my great friend Njeri said she wanted to send me one. Say what?? THANKS, Njeri. XX
Here’s my skinny: I love the soft fresh scent, it’s hella matte (use a good moisturizer) but it’s not drying which is important to note. It goes on even and wears well. I need more…so now I hunt. I blended with MAC’s Chestnut to add some neutral to the pinkish shade. Drop a comment and let me know what you think.
My Happy Accidental Purchase Sooooo, I did not set out to buy this item but I’m glad I did. The LE Sharon Osbourne collaboration with MAC’s Refresh Minieralized Skinfinish is one of my faves. I didn’t think initially it would work with my skin tone but it’s a winner. Just a kiss of shimmer.
This week I have been loving these 2 shades from ColourPop. Their formula took some getting used to (soft and sponge-like) but it works great. I have been using my fingers to apply; tried a brush but not my preference with this formula to apply. Each shadow cost $5 (you’re welcome). Have you had a chance to try the ColourPop brand yet?
