How exciting! IT Cosmetics now available at Sephora. I’m personally pleased because I am not an Ulta fan. I’ve also grown to love some of their products.
Check out the box I received (thank you, IT Cosmetics) of the IT Cosmetics™ Color-Infused Skincare™ line. I can’t wait to try everything and share with you my hits and misses; nine exclusives, developed with leading plastic surgeons that promise to give me life-changing results. ::praise hands::

I’m late I know but I’ve been busy. Playing in some makeup I’ve purchased and not yet tried. Here is MAC Halsey. No clue where I’d wear it but I’ll put it in the winter stash. I lined it with Vino and blennnnnnded. I think I like it.
Hi Beauties! It has been forever since I’ve been here. Micro blogging on Instagram has allowed me to slack but today I wanted to share my thoughts on Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kit in the shade Candy K. Okay, honestly…when it first launched I had no interest, the Kardashian/Jenner somebody is everywhere and on that particular day I was over it. Because I’m moody, the next day I decided I should try it (being the lip junkie that I am) and could.not.get.any. “Sold out.” That’s what I get, right?
Fast forward and my great friend Njeri said she wanted to send me one. Say what?? THANKS, Njeri. XX
Here’s my skinny: I love the soft fresh scent, it’s hella matte (use a good moisturizer) but it’s not drying which is important to note. It goes on even and wears well. I need more…so now I hunt. I blended with MAC’s Chestnut to add some neutral to the pinkish shade. Drop a comment and let me know what you think.
This week I have been loving these 2 shades from ColourPop. Their formula took some getting used to (soft and sponge-like) but it works great. I have been using my fingers to apply; tried a brush but not my preference with this formula to apply. Each shadow cost $5 (you’re welcome). Have you had a chance to try the ColourPop brand yet? Check them out here: http://coulourpop.com.
So I heard that what you do in the new year you do throughout the year so I made sure I bought some makeup and stuffs 💁🏽; even if I had to go into Sephora to do it.
I’m most excited to try this Laura Mercier Brightening Powder to set my under eye concealer; anyone try it? Let’s see how it measures up next to my Ben Nye Banana Powder. And I broke down and used 100 of my points to try the Clinique gloss. Haven’t like any of the point perks in months.
Happy New Year!
Hi Beauties! 5 weeks ago I reposted a photo from @luckyjen_jen; she shared with her followers that she was using a liner for paint trays (you read that right) to clean her brushes. Here’s my repost:
Neat, hunh? Well, I finally remembered to get one to try when I was at Walmart. I saw one just like she posted but then I saw this one:
I love black. $1.87. Mine. I also like this tray better because I can store my dirty brushes (as shown in photo). Easy to store and the textured slope helps gently clean the brushes. I love it. So glad she shared and I’m sharing for anyone who didn’t know. What do you think? xx
Hi Beauties! I posted the above pic of today’s lip: Styled in Sepia with Chestnut liner (both MAC) and it led to further inquiries and discussion on Instagram (@theposhblog). Keep scrolling to see more pics of my MAC nude collection with swatches. My top 3 are listed as the top 3: Stone, Styled in Sepia and Fresh Brew. Let me know your thoughts in the comments; do you have any of these, any of them not work for you?
Love. Just love.
My F A V O R I T E red. Hourglass Cosmetics in Icon. Love this blue based red and its moisturizing formula. It’s my numero uno red lipstick.
Cons: high price tag (but worth it)
I just love this color for FALL! This formula is a matte liquid lipstick that dries über matte. When they said ultra matte, they meant that.
Pros: $6, lasts foreverrrrrrr but needs touching up (like any lippie) and the color goes on evenly, not blotchy.
Cons: hard to remove and drying but not overly so (a good lip moisturizer before helped a lot the second time I wore it).
Overall: I’d buy the whole lot of them! I’ve gifted them this year. The company has great customer service, too.
I really wanted to like this.
Pros: $14, sleek design
Cons: Drying; it feels moisturizing at first but it completely dried my lips. Staining is uneven, leaving the center free from stain.
Final word: I will not purchase anymore and I have no use for the one I have due to the drying.
